Logging Back In: My Return to the World of Child Safety
Happy Friday to you all!
As you are all aware, I needed a little break to deal with the mental and physical toll that this activity can take. I want to thank you all for your incredible understanding and support during my time away. It meant more than you know.
My past career left me with C-PTSD. While I've found a way to channel that pain into a passion for protecting our children online, the reality is that sometimes, even a Cyber Safety Guy needs to log off for a bit. The stories I cover, the research I do, and the truths I uncover can be damaging; the weight of that can become overwhelming.
⚡Please don’t forget to react & restack if you appreciate my work. More engagement means more people might see it. ⚡
During my break, I had time to consider how I can be more productive and be more useful to the communities and organisations out there that have a duty of care for children. I have seen new challenges evolving, new apps gaining popularity, and new dangers emerging. The need for dedicated, honest voices on the topic of online safety became clearer to me than ever. The fight to protect our children is far from over, and it's a fight I will always be a part of.
So, I'm back. I'm refreshed, recharged, and ready to continue this journey with all of you. My commitment to providing you with the knowledge and tools you need to keep your children safe online is stronger than ever.
I'm excited to get back to writing, sharing insights, and building a community where we can all work together to create a safer digital world for children.
One initiative I will be working on in the coming weeks is to record presentations about online child safety that will be tailored towards the audience.
Parents/Teachers
Children
Youth Organisations
Schools
I will host these presentations here and on my YouTube channel, making them available to be downloaded or streamed to groups and hopefully educating those people on how to protect themselves and their children online.
I am also planning to make myself available where possible to present to the above groups live remotely to allow for Q&A sessions as I know that this type of content can often lead to questions and I want to make sure that people get the most from them. For now, if that is of interest to anyone, you can drop me an email or a message, but I will look for a better solution in the future to request this.
Thank you again for your patience. Let's get back to work.
Stay safe online and remain vigilant.
Dale (Cyber Safety Guy)
As always, thank you for your support. Please share this across your social media, and if you do have any comments, questions, or concerns, then feel free to reach out to me here or on BlueSky, as I am always happy to spend some time helping to protect children online.
Remember that becoming a paid subscriber means that you will be supporting two charities that are very close to my heart and doing amazing things for people. The Not Forgotten Association and Childline, as I will split all subscriptions 50/50 and donate to each charity every six months, as I don’t do any of this for financial gain.

I appreciate you so much! Welcome back!
Vicarious trauma is real. Take care of yourself!
Welcome back! I've also had to take a digital detox...
